Hello,
I have a Soldron 878D Soldering Station that I purchased 6 months ago. Recently, I've noticed that the soldering iron is not heating up to the maximum temperature of 480 degrees Celsius. While the iron is heating up to some extent, it's not reaching the necessary temperature, which is causing issues with the PCB. The hot air gun functions properly.
Can you help me with resolving this issue?
Soldering iron is not heating
Hey there,
Take off the tip and see if the heating element looks damaged. If it’s cracked or burnt, it might need replacing. If the tip is old or damaged, it might not heat up properly. Try a new tip and see if that helps.
Hope this helps!

Hello Shraddha,
I can see that there is no damage or breaks inside the heating element, but it has turned somewhat black in color. Can you suggest a tip for the soldering iron? I will try replacing it as well.
