Why input voltage important?
The input common mode voltage range of the INA240 is -6V to +90V, independent of its supply voltage.Luosi wrote: ↑Tue Sep 09, 2025 8:20 am What is the input common-mode voltage range of INA240A2PWR, and why is it important?

The INA240A2PWR can handle input voltages between -6V to +90V, so it works even if the signals are much higher or lower than the power supply. It is most commonly used for bidirectional current flow, PWM driven systems, High/Low current sensing. It will help you in operation below ground.
Here is a official datasheet of the INA240A2PWR, you can consider refering as they have provided all the required details.
