Over the past few years i have been iterating on flying wing models making them as cost effective as possible. The body is made of expanded polyethylene (EPE Foam) with a 10mm carbon fiber rod as wing spar and good quality electronics from ROBU.
My purpose for these designs was to improvise on a basic flying wing to have excellent efficiency, payload capacity, stall speeds and overall aerodynamics.
(this is not original work but inspired and modified from a pre existing concept wing)
What i have achieved is the design as follows:
wing span: 40 inches
root chord: 8.5 inches
tip chord: 4.1 inches
sweep: 31 degrees
twist (washout): -3 degrees
root aerofoil: HS 522
tip aerofoil: MH60

The model works with a range of electronics fit to your liking but overall design of this wing focuses on energy optimization and low stall speeds
I prefer using the T Motor Velox V2207.5 V2 (1750KV) with good quality emax digital servos with a 40A ready to sky ESC with BEC and the battery i range from using 4s to 2s of 1500mah, 2200mah, 1000mah ans 850mah (LiPo Batteries)

I took help from XFLR-5 to deter the taper ratio and matlab for stall speed curves and trust vs drag curves and also used aerofoiltools website.
I hope people iterate further on my design to fit for different flight characteristics.

I always wanted to make such fixed wings. Perhaps you can have a tiny round canopy in front, house fixed wing flight controller like speedybee or diatone along with an ELRS from happymodel or radiomaster and nano GPS from RushFPV. These would be the ideal ingredients for making an autonomous fixed wing or even a more enjoyable manually controlled fixed wing!! Are you planning on making this autonomous or long range FPV?

yes indeed! My sole purpose of this project was improving on aerodynamics and structure but yes soon i will get on to the avionics that this plane can hold as you said.
will post again when satisfied with a working setup!
