My Journey in Robo Creato 3.0

I have always been fascinated by robotics, and when I heard about the Robo Creato 3.0 competition, I knew I had to participate. The competition was a great opportunity to learn more about robotics and to develop my skills as an innovator.

My team and I started working on our project, which was to develop a wireless robot and remote. We spent countless hours researching different types of robots and remotes, and we eventually decided on a design that we thought would be both innovative and functional.

Once we had our design, we started building our robot. This was a challenging process, but it was also very rewarding. We learned a lot about electronics, mechanics, and programming. We also had to overcome a number of obstacles, such as when our robot kept malfunctioning..

I am handled the mechanical design, 3D modeling, and 3D printing for the robot. It shows full involvement in both the creative and technical aspects of the project.

Hello Wonderful people,
It was great experience with Creato3.0, let me share our experience in detail.

We had built a RC cars few time earlier but they are just a hobby projects easily breakable, wires comes off, glues etc but i always want to build one that is sturdy, easy, accurate to operate and expandable with new features like camera. Creato3.0 was wonderful opportunity to put all our experience and learning from past with the committed deadline.
We had clearly planned, schematics, purchased all items in advance before start building one.
After building base RC car, we has encountered few interesting problems. For simplicity, we built 4WD but want to control this RC car like driving the real car steering and acceleration separately having turning radius, this is needed to drive 8 patten smoothly, we focused on Coding algorithm and able to achieve it.
To identify front and backside of the car we stickered.
While testing, car was slipping in the Ramp so we changed with another cheap rubble broader wheels.
In the ramp car was getting toppled so we moved the battery to backside for the correct landing.
We used 7.4v li-po battery for motor but it was not sufficient to get complete range of steering due to drop in Motor driver so we has used 11.1v li-ion battery.
RC car front is getting damaged while testing so we added Foam buffer to prevent damage in bumper.
We handmade custom PCB to keep all circuits in one place to avoid any visible wires, should look cool.
We used JST connectors from local computer shop to firmly latch the wires, so no loose wires disturbing the car while testing.
To be frank we testing this RC car in ramp and made to fall at-least 20 times. L293N heat sink secured the main circuit board all the time and RC car was functional all the times.
Finally i was very happy to build one simple RC car that is robust and easy to drive. It gave us more kick that driving the RC race car that we buy from shop.
I want to hide all the components with a body casing, but it was not necessary for this competition, so just kept it as it is, just did what is needed, nothing more nothing less.

We ensured we don't deviate from Guidelines, and submitted with all our best effort and left to God. Kept zero expectation but little hope in the corner of the heart, as winning this competition will motivate us for future projects.

Our RC car name "Faraday Fury" secured us 2nd place in this event.

Soon i will upload the video in Youtube and share the link. Sharing the best process of learning so i have shared my experience. Share yours too.

Appreciate Robu team for conducting such competition and motivating innovators.

Suggestion: Unlike Creato2.0, this year creato3.0 Robu's announcement video was very short and did not show other participants cars and there working, uniqueness of 3 winners etc like what impressed in innovate build, how accurate was the 1st place car etc. It will be good learning for others.

See You,
Vijay
